Dr. Robert Dammeyer

The co-owner and medical director of Pet Medical Center, Dr. Robert Dammeyer was born in Rio de Janeiro and raised in Oregon before settling in Kitsap County in 1991. Dr. Dammeyer previously practiced medicine as an associate veterinarian and medical director at Olympic Veterinary Hospital in Silverdale, Washington from 1991 to 2007.

Dr. Dammeyer attended Oregon State University and received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 1987. He went on to Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he was frequently on the dean's list. Dr. Dammeyer was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1991 and was second in his graduating class. He also received the Upjohn Clinical Proficiency Award upon graduating. His professional interests include dentistry, internal medicine, preventative medicine and general surgery, particularly soft tissue and patellar and cruciate surgeries.

A member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association, Dr. Dammeyer is also a past board-member and vice president of Pet's Choice, Inc. veterinary board. He is also an active supporter of the local Parent Teacher Association.

An avid fan of Oregon State University's football and baseball teams, Dr. Dammeyer can usually be found watching Oregon State games and cheering for his team when not at the hospital. He also enjoys camping, fishing, tennis and exploring the Northwest. He has two Basset Hounds, Crush and Lily.
