Since November 2012, Ruth has been a part of Apple Tree Cove Animal Hospital. When she relocated to Washington in October of the same year, she initially sought a career unrelated to veterinary medicine and took up a temporary position at the hospital. However, upon entering the premises, she immediately felt a strong connection and knew that this was the place for her. Ruth developed a deep affection for the hospital, its patients, their families, and the local community.

During her free time, Ruth enjoys engaging in activities such as hiking, swimming (regardless of the season), and participating in community events. Although she and her partner have a diverse range of pets.

Ruth's upbringing took place on a dairy farm in Tennessee, where she gained valuable experience. Additionally, she holds a scuba certification and has extensive experience working with a diverse range of animals, including alligators!
