Ruth has been with Apple Tree Cove Animal Hospital since November 2012. When she moved to Washington in October of the same year, she was searching for another career that did not pertain to veterinary medicine, and began working at Apple Tree Cove Animal Hospital in the interim. Like many before her, as soon as she walked into the building she knew this is where she wanted to be. Ruth fell in love with the hospital, the patients and their families, and the community. 

In her spare time, you can find Ruth out on a hike, swimming (year-round!), or at community events. She and her partner have a menagerie of fur kids but no human children. 

Ruth was raised on a dairy farm in Tennessee, is scuba certified, and has worked with all sorts of animals including alligators!
